NYFF #11: The Assayas film again. Why not.
I wanted to live in that world again. A gentle loving world.
Because I miss being in love.

NYFF #8: Amour by Michael Haneke
The theme here is so deep and so universal. The picture is exquisite.
Particular segment of the film nearly the most moving EVER.
I had to walk for blocks to come back.
NYFF #7: Peter Strickland’s Berberian Sound Studio at midnight last night!
Love for the sounds & especially the Broadcast soundtrack. Avails on Warp soon.
Best Q&A of the festival so far (2am)
NYFF #6: Après Mai (Something In The Air) by Olivier Assayas
Every second was PURE JOY. Beautiful youth & convictions. British folk soundtrack.
Love. What it’s like to be in love.
NYFF #5: Abbas Kiarostami’s Like Someone In Love
Long takes, car scenes, beautiful Japan, mystery & connection.
Abbas in the house as cool as can be. MAJOR.
